Fly My Airport
Airport One LLC had already proved that people will book flights from their own local airport website. The work was turning that proof into something the airports themselves could carry.

Airport One LLC are specialist software suppliers to the airport industry, and in their line of work they identified something worth acting on. An airport has very little view of its customers. Airports tend not to have a very good sense of who is travelling through their airport, outside of their security awareness, that is. The commercial arm doesn't.
Digitally they tend not to be connected either. It runs in silos. The parking doesn't speak to the main website.
Airports tend not to make a lot from their websites. But they have to maintain it, and it has to be quite sophisticated, relatively speaking. And they are exceptionally high traffic sites. People go straight to their local airport website to check when a relative is landing, or when a flight is leaving, departures, travel times, booking accessible requirements. There is latent value that the airports themselves were not able to reach.
What Airport One had already built was a set of local airport-branded booking websites, and with them the proof. If you live near an airport, you probably know it like the back of your hand. People would, could and now do book flights from their own airport.
What they had not worked out was the next part: how a network of local sites, each one a template with a colour on the header and a logo dropped in, becomes a rich product that carries each airport's own identity. They didn't know how to do that, and so I was introduced to them.
I did the audit and I produced the concept work, then the product design. We reworked the hierarchy to drive deeper engagement and drive conversion, across flights, hotels, parking and hire cars. And I showed them how each local site could be further branded, more distinct and more reflective of the airport it belongs to, and built that configurably, like we have done at QikServe.
Nothing killed it. They are growing the business, and we are still at early stages.
