Payments was the part of the QikServe platform where a guest's order turned into money in an operator's account, and it was mine to design. The work ran from the mechanics of card flows, refunds and reconciliation through to how the capability presented itself, including identity and logo concept work for payments as a product in its own right.

The system was built on Stripe Connect, and in its first year it handled over £50m in transactions. That figure is the real measure of the work, because payments design gets judged on whether money moves reliably and whether an operator trusts the numbers at the end of the month, not on how handsome the screens are.

Much of the detail sits under commercial confidentiality, so this entry stays a sketch for now. Full write-up to follow.
