Asking for an address spoils the gift

Sending someone a gift usually means asking for their address, and asking spoils it, or isn't possible. Half the time the sender doesn't have it. Gen Z don't hand it out, colleagues never had it, and a friend of a friend can't ask. It happens all the time.

Nomia keys identity to a phone number instead. You consent once, privately, and carry that identity, and eventually your loyalty, to every store that plugs in.

Named, not located

The name comes from the Latin and Greek for name. You are known by your name, not your address.

Where it is

A prototype, pre-launch. Retailers will pay a subscription to plug in; individual senders will pay a small fee.

The hardest problem is retailer adoption. A sender needs somewhere to send from, so the stores have to come first.
